Politics--Poli meaning many, tics meaning small blood sucking insects

This is my first post for a while, so to all my faithful readers I should apologize right up front. :-) I'll try to do better from now on.

Actually, I had been keeping busy at work and not had a lot of extra time to spend the time necessary to keep up with this, but since my company was sold and I lost my job two weeks ago I'll now have a litte more time to devote. My wife is making sure I stay busy though, with LOTS of "honey-do's" to complete. I've barely scratched the surface and think that she would have me as a full time handyman around here if we didn't need my income........

Anyway, on to bigger and better things. Let's talk about the Senate for a minute. I don't think I've ever even read of a more corrupt and worthless organization in my lifetime. The US Senate is, in my humble opinion, filled with liars, cheats, and at least one person guilty of manslaughter (so much for the Democrats). [As a side-bar, one of my favorite bumper stickers reads "Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun." :-) I love it.] The Republicans on the other side, are filled with liars, cheats, and spineless wimps who couldn't make a tough decision if their nuts were in a vise and their hair was on fire. This latest round of bullshit has just hit the fan with me. The idiot Republicans have the MAJORITY within the Senate, but they still act as if they were the minority!! It's absolutely incredible to me. The Democrat leaders (for lack of a better word) call President Bush's judicial appointments every foul word in the book--racist/sexist/anti-gay/antisocial--whatever, and we have 7 Republican idiots who feel that they must make a deal with these morons to avoid even worse behavior. What are you people? 3 year olds? What the Democrats need is a good SPANKING!! Refuse to listen to their moronic diatribes, and PUSH SOME PEOPLE THROUGH THAT WILL INTERPRET THE CONSTITUTION THE WAY IT WAS WRITTEN!!! "Gee..uh....nope.. can't do THAT"...it's much better to mollycoddle these anti-American communists than to slap them in the face with a revision of the rules. And tell all those brainless morons that the Democrats have changed the rules to make it better for them enough times that they have no leg to stand on--only that they control the media and have painted this as "the first time in 214 years..." that anyone has attempted to change the rules. What BULLSHIT!! Anyone who would choose to check the records would see that they lowered the number for a filibuster cloture to where it is today.

The fact remains, and I'm still a firm believer, that there is almost no difference between these two parties. Neither has a leader (including our current President) who is willing to go against the continuing march of this country to ruin under a one-world government. When our Supreme Court justices quote the international law of Burundi (or BFE, or wherever) in their decsions on the constitutionality of one of America's laws, I fear that it's too late. When they openly admit that they consider international law when interpreting OUR Constitution, there is absolutely nothing that can stop us from becoming another socialist/communist country under the control of God-knows-who from God-knows-where. Our politicians are actively trying to erase our borders (there can be no other explanation for what is now happening with Mexico), and they have put the US under the thumb of the International Courts--note that Mexico sued the US when two of their ILLEGAL FUCKING ALIENS were given the death penalty in Arizona. That's right! They sued under international law that their ILLEGAL FUCKING ALIENS hadn't been given the appropriate meeting with their diplomatic counsel before they were tried. Thank God that the US Supreme Court ruled that they had no standing, but it's not going to be long before our laws are overwritten by the international community. A state (Arizona), which is legally it's own legal entity that VOLUNTARILY joined the United States, is now being sued by Mexico because Arizona's laws require the death penalty for certain circumstances. Frankly, had I been King I'd have told Vicente Fox to shove his lawsuit where the sun didn't shine, and if he didn't like it to attack us with his army. I'm quite convinced that the population in Arizona themselves could have defeated it, and if not, throw Utah in there and with all our weapons we'd have outshot the little bastards. :-)

WHERE IS THE NEW TEDDY ROOSEVELT? Where are the new Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington? WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WILL STAND UP TO THESE IDIOTS??? Nowhere. We've become a country of overworked, overtaxed, and uninterested people who have the attention span of a 4 year old--or about 10 minutes before we're looking for a commercial. Attack us on 9/11 and for a couple of months everyone is pretty upset. A couple of years later, people don't even think about it and they allow their politicians to still erase the border with Mexico.

I don't know what the answer is, other than to say that if we don't have a few thousand people stand up and force the nation to take notice, we won't have a nation in 25 years.
